Is it wise to leave the Heat Pump on during the all day and night?
To avoid excessive energy waste, its better to switch it off if you don’t need it. We know that heat pumps are the most effective way to heat your home and to use electricity in winter time. But it is not cost effective, to leave it running all day and night. After switching the heat pump off, the temperature will drop at a slow rate, ff your house is well insulated. Otherwise, the temperature will drop faster but the heat from your heat pump will only dissipate and go to waste.
To help you save even more energy, here some tips:
Choose the right size of heat pumps. One size doesn’t fit all. If the heat pump is too small for the heated home, it will not provide enough heat and will cost more energy to heat the rooms. An if the heat pump is too big, it will use more energy than necessary to warm your home. Our technicians can advise you what size of heat pump is best for your home.
Choose a right heat pump for your climate. Not all heat pumps are adequate for very cool climate. Many heat pumps can’t keep up with huge temperature drops.
Have a good insulation at home. A proper insulation could save you lots of money. If your walls are good insulated, the heat pump won’t have to work so much.
Keep the setting low. It is another way to save money. It is not thru that setting your heat pump to the maximum will heat the room quicker. It will only use more energy.
Have your heat pump cleaned and serviced regularly, especially before the winter season.
Set the timer – a wise way to heat your home before you come home or before you get out of bed in the morning.
